I’ve had success with the RSS feed from the Books section. Go to NYT’s list of their RSS feeds
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/index.html
Click on “Arts” and the on the “Books” feed. You’ll get emails for each new review or story, including the picture book reviews.
