Closer to the Screen: THE STRAIN
The cable channel FX’s adaptation of the first novel in Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s vampire trilogy, The Strain, (HarperCollins/Morrow, 2009) now has a lead, Corey Stoll (who played a character in the Netflix original series, House of Cards).
Del Toro will direct the pilot. According to Deadline, the network is likely to pick it up as a series.
