How does Alzheimer’s affect the spouse of one of its victims? Reporter Barry Petersen delved into that story in a very personal way on CBS Sunday Morning yesterday. His wife, Jan Chorlton, once a reporter for CNN, ABC and CBS Sunday Morning, began showing symptoms of the disease at 40. Now 60, she lives in an assisted living facility.

Petersen has also written a book, Jan’s Story, which went to #38 on Amazon sales rankings after the show. The book was not reviewed prepub and libraries we checked have not ordered it.
