Join us each month for GalleyChat, to talk with fellow librarians about your favorite (and not-so-favorite) recent galleys, in two versions:

Adult Titles — generally held the first Tuesday of each month from 4 to 5 pm, ET. However, the next one will be the second Tuesday of the month, June 11th., to give those who attended Book Expo time to sort through their galleys. Join us at 3:30 for  “pre-Chat” virtual cocktails. Hash tag, #ewgc.

Young Adult Titles — In 2018/19, we are experimenting with varying the days, so those with regular commitments can join more often. Keep an eye on EarlyWord announcements for exact day and time. The next one is Thursday, May 23rd, 2:30 to 3:30 pm, ET (2:00 for virtual cocktails).Hash tag, #ewgcya

To join EarlyWord’s GalleyChat:

  1. If you are not already on Twitter, set up an account.
  2. Put June 11th, 4:00 pm, ET (Adult GalleyChat) and/or May 23rd, 2:30 pm, ET (YA/MG GalleyChat) on your calendar (half an hour earlier for “pre-Chat cocktails”). Set an alarm!
  3. Just before the discussion begins, log on to Twitter or whatever interface you prefer.
  4. To follow the discussion, enter #ewgc for adult galley chat or #ewgcya for YA.
  5. To post a comment, make sure that you include hashtag #ewgc or #ewgcya in each of your tweets. Please write book titles in ALL CAPS, to make them stand out. (like this — Has anyone else read MIRACLE SUBMARINE by Angie Kim? #ewyagc). Since this is a chat about galleys, we ask that you only tweet about forthcoming books.

We look forward to seeing you!
