New Landing for UP IN THE AIR
For a dreadful moment, it seemed that movie goers might be faced with a choice of two George Clooney movies opening within a week of each other.
Paramount has solved the problem, by moving Up in the Air back to its original December 4th slot, leaving Overture’s The Men Who Stare At Goats as the single mid-Nov. Clooney choice, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
That is, unless you count the animated The Fantastic Mr. Fox, opening Nov. 13; Clooney is the voice of the lead character.
UPDATE: The LA Times thinks the switch in dates is all about the Oscars — “Oscar’s nervous chess moves.” It makes any date shifting of books around the release of The Lost Symbol look like child’s play.
