Wall Street Journal Fall Preview

GOOGLED: THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT, Ken Auletta
Nov. 3, Penguin Press
The media writer for the New Yorker evaluates Google’s outsize influence and how it’s reshaping the media landscape.

With Labor Day around the corner, the fall previews kick into high gear. Today, the Wall Street Journal lists 13 fiction and 6 nonfiction titles and gives the requisite nod to this being a “star-studded season.” All but one of the titles has appeared on earlier lists; it’s not surprising that the Wall Street Journal would be the one to spot Ken Auletta’s book on Google.

We’ve rounded up the big titles in a spreadsheet, so you can more easily track your orders and holds and what needs to be rushed through processing; Big Fall Fiction, Adult — Spreadsheet. Links to it and the individual fall previews are at the right, under “Books of Fall ’09 — Previews.”
