The following authors are reaching new levels in sales; it may be time to examine your automatic orders for their titles.

Lisa See, a long-time book club favorite, reaches new levels with her new novel, Shanghai Girls. Her 2007 novel, Peony in Love spent five weeks on the NYT fiction hardcover list, rising to #6 for one week. Shanghai Girls went on at #4 last week and continues in that position on the 6/21 list.

It was one of Janet Maslin’s picks for summer in the New York Times today.
