PHYSICK BOOK Continues to Climb
The current issue of USA Today calls Katherine Howe’s The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane “a witch story that will leave you spellbound…a fresh and mesmerizing modern-day mystery of witches and witchcraft set in the real world.”
Since the author’s appearance on Good Morning America yesterday, the book has been rising steadily on Amazon; it’s now at #19, up from #23 yesterday. On B&N.com, where it’s being featured on the home page, it is at #1. Library reserves are also growing.
Prepub reviews were mixed. Library Journal found it “enjoyable [but] too slow-paced to be considered a thriller.” PW said it is “propulsive if derivative.” Booklist,on the other hand, gave it a star, saying it is”spellbinding, vividly detailed, witty, and astutely plotted.”

I have read an advanced reader copy of this book, it is outstanding!
It is not only character driven but the description puts the reader right into the story. It is amazingly well written.
I highly recommend it.
