In Case You Missed It

I was in desperate need of a laugh. Just in time, Lisa von Drasek, our EarlyWord Kids contributor, pointed me to NPR’s Weekend Edition interview with John Scieszka. Even if you don’t need a laugh, it’s worth a listen for what he says about kids and reading. After all, he is the official National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature (plus, if you’re shaky on the pronunciation of “Scieszka,” this will cure you).

For more laughs, I mean, more insight into children’s literature, Dave Barry also had a segment on the show, about the horrors of science fairs (explored in his new book, Science Fair).
