Lincoln, or FDR?

         

As the media draws on history to try to envision the new administration, it’s a good time to display books on Lincoln (image above, from this week’s Newsweek, Obama Looks to Lincoln) and FDR (Time cover story, The Obama Transition: What Will Change Look Like?).

On Friday, the Wall Street Journal put together “The Lincoln Library,” a list of five titles that shed light on Lincoln, in Obama’s Muse

On the FDR side,  Jonathan Alter has been quoted in several articles, about his 2006 book The Defining Moment: FDR’s Hundred Days and the Triumph of Hope. It rose from #1,652 on Amazon to #185 today.
