Lincoln, or FDR?
As the media draws on history to try to envision the new administration, it’s a good time to display books on Lincoln (image above, from this week’s Newsweek, Obama Looks to Lincoln) and FDR (Time cover story, The Obama Transition: What Will Change Look Like?).

On the FDR side, Jonathan Alter has been quoted in several articles, about his 2006 book The Defining Moment: FDR’s Hundred Days and the Triumph of Hope. It rose from #1,652 on Amazon to #185 today.
