Michael Crichton Dies

Bestselling author, filmmaker, creator of the TV series ER, Michael Crichton died on Tuesday. In a statement, the family said he “died unexpectedly” after “a courageous and private battle with cancer.” He was 66.

Crichton began writing to support himself in medical school, but soon the  “writing became more interesting than the medicine.”
