David Foster Wallace

It was a weekend of sad news, including that of David Foster Wallace’s suicide. Appreciations of his work are now pouring out, including one by Michiko Kakutani, the famously hard-to-please NYT critic. Here are just a few:

Perhaps the greatest tribute is the number of people who are buying his books. Infinite Jest is now at #14 on the Amazon list (it was at #57,895 before his death).
