For the past few days, a book by Lucianne Goldberg’s son Jonah (Lucianne was the scary literary agent who was involved with Linda Tripp, “friend” of Monica Lewinsky) Liberal Fascism, has been on the Amazon Top Ten. On Wednesday night, Goldberg appeared on the Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” with Jon Stewart. According to the trade magazine, Editor & Publisher, Goldberg is livid over the editing of the show, claiming that it put him in a bad light.

The book was reviewed (scroll down to the end of the page) by Publishers Weekly, which said that “The book’s tone suffers as it oscillates between revisionist historical analyses and the application of fascist themes to American popular culture; nonetheless, the controversial arc Goldberg draws from Mussolini to The Matrix is well-researched, seriously argued—and funny.”

Salon interviewed Goldberg last Friday.

The book just debuted on the 1/27 New York Times nonfiction list at #10.

Other titles new to the nonfiction list:

#4 Memo to the President Elect, Madeleine Albright (Harper)

#8 Geography of Bliss, Eric Weiner (Twelve)

#12 Strong at the Broken Places, Richard M. Cohen (Harper)
