ABTT ReadKiddo

Sponsored by Asset Based Thinking for Teens and

James Patterson’s Read Kiddo Read

The Mission:

To help librarians and teachers instill the passion for reading in the minds and hearts of youth.

The Idea Behind the Mission:

Librarians and teachers are passionate about books and reading and are in a front-line position to instill the passion for reading in youth. ABT for Teens encourages and helps enable youth to find their ”Mighty Cause,” their passionate beliefs and values that are important to them and to the wider world.

One of the Mighty Causes that ABT has embraced is “The Passion For Reading.” James Patterson has embraced this same passion and established a web-based community, Read Kiddo Read, which is solely dedicated to this mission. Also, as an author of Young Adult books, Mr. Patterson is a supporter and champion of librarians and their key role in this “reading” mission.

The Program:

Librarians and teachers will be recognized and rewarded for creating and conducting outstanding programs to engage teens and ignite the spark that will fuel their passion for reading.

How to Enter:
