Faced with a crippling recession, newly elected president Kenneth Phoenix has instituted an unprecedented austerity program comprised of massive cuts in taxes and government services. With the country imploding in the face of severe reductions in public safety budgets and rampant bankruptcies, entire communities of armed citizens are banding together for survival and mutual protection. Some of these militias are directing their anger against any symbols of government with intimidation and force. But there is another citizen organization determined to protect their fellow countrymen and their nation: the Civil Air Patrol, an auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. The Nevada Wing, led by retired Air Force general and aviator Patrick McLanahan and his son Bradley, is a group of brave volunteer citizen-soldiers ranging in age from twelve to eighty. The senior members use their military skills in the sky and on the ground to train a new generation of dedicated patriots to hunt down violent terrorists who are threatening America. And when the Nevada volunteers get control of several high-tech defensive and surveillance systems, the battle for the nation’s future goes to an entirely new level.
