The womanising founding partner at the firm of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce in Mad Men, which is set in the New York advertising world of the 1960s.

  2. Erin Christmas Says:

Roger Sterling was one of the partners at Sterling Cooper the original ad agency in the first two seasons of Mad Men ( set in New York 1960 and 1962). He then became one of the founding partners at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. His daughter and ex-wife were both frequently on the show when his daughter was getting married. He is currently married, however was recently mugged and had a sexual encounter with Joan, his on again off again romantic interest. He will become a father next year, though he does not know that as Joan was to have an abortion.
