As the Graphic Novel Reporter recently reported, adapting books to comics and manga is an growing trend. Stephen King, Orson Scott Card, and Laurell K. Hamilton all have collaborated on adaptations of their novels. In manga there’s the Warriors series, original stories set in the world of Erin Hunter’s Warriors books and Dean Koontz worked with Manga artist Queenie Chan for a prequel to the Odd Thomas series, In Odd We Trust.
The first book in Donald Westlake’s Parker series (under the pseudonym Richard Stark) is coming as a graphic novel this summer:
